No. 3 Penn State at Iowa (Plus 7.5)

Penn State leads the series 10-9. Iowa defeated Penn State 6-4 in 2004, the
last time these schools played each other. The Hawkeyes have won the last five
games and six out of the last seven played in this series.

Iowa’s Shonn Greene might be the only 1,257 yard rusher you haven’t heard of
this year. I’m sure Greene’s 6.3 yards per carry and 11 touchdowns caught the
attention of Penn State’s defensive unit.

After the Nittany Lions shut down Greene, like they did Beanie Wells two weeks
ago, you might not hear of Greene for the rest of the season.

Penn State needs to stay the course with “yes we can”. They can play in the
National Championship Game if they win out. Alabama and Texas Tech are likely
to lose at least one game each by season’s end.

If Penn State can finish undefeated not many people will deny Joe Paterno a
shot at a title in what could be his last season as head coach. If the Nittany
Lions do play for the championship, and Ohio State wins out, the Buckeyes
should be headed to Pasadena for the first time since 1997.

Penn State 42, Iowa 24
