Mighty mites Chase Daniel and Todd Reesing have played well enough to get their teams in a position to possibly play for the national championship. Both quarterbacks are under 5'10” (don't believe their listed heights), but play much larger.
Missouri's Chase Daniel has thrown for 3,590 yards 30 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Daniel likes to connect with Martin Rucker and speedster Jeremy Maclin. Maclin leads the team with 9 receiving touchdowns and averages 15 yards per reception.
Kansas' Reesing has thrown for 2,900 yards, 30 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. Like Daniel, Reesing throws the majority of his passes to two receivers. Marcus Henry and Dexton Fields lead the Jayhawks in receptions. Henry averages 19.5 yards per catch and has 8 touchdowns.
Not only are Missouri and Kansas playing for a spot in the BCS championship game, but this is also a grudge match. Kansas would have a 54-52-9 series lead, but the Jayhawks had to forfeit a win from 1960. That means the series is tied 53-53-9.
Saturday's winner not only controls its own destiny, but gets bragging rights. A Missouri victory leads to Kansas misery.
