With the firing of Steve Pederson Bill Callahan is on borrowed time at Nebraska. To have a chance at saving his job he'll have to win the remaining games on this year's schedule. That still might not be enough.
Callahan has directed the Cornhuskers to four or more losses the previous three seasons. Nebraska currently has a three-game losing streak. Halfway through his fourth season Callahan has lost 18 games. The last time Nebraska lost that many games in a three year span was 1959-1961.
